I remember seeing some sort of bullshit advertorial on Kotaku last year where they were trying to sell themselves as the one-stop retail retro shop. Since then the prices at Cashies have sky-rocketed. All the PSone games at my local use to be about $5, now they're all over $15!

They also try to sell stuff as "Vintage Collectables" then chuck their stupid stickers all over everything, you can't have it both ways.

What a load of croak. I hope it will/has backfires on them.

Cash converters used to be my favourite shop back in the late 90's early 00's, I could never afford the new consoles so I was always stuck buying Saturn and Megadrive gear from there with games being $5 a pop. Good times.

Exactly the same for me, Wes! Although about 10 years later... and with PC/PSone/PS2 games instead. I wish I had the opportunity to buy Saturn games for $5 a piece.

The Saturn in general, for a really long time, was considered junk by places like Cash Converters. I remember my local cashies growing up had a couple tubs of loose carts that were all $5 and there were always Saturn games in there.
