EVERYONE has made a video about this game, and now I have too. The greasy cogs of YouTube continue to turn.

True that, although playing more unknown games certainly has its charm too it. Oh well, no harm done.

I was going to post this on your Reddit, but did not want to leave anything negative, left a postive comment there with a +,
Great review, really well put together.
Also, small correction, Mario 64 (like most 64 games) save to an eeprom (which is flash memory), not many use SRAM (which need a battery), Zelda OOT being the only one I can think of off the top of my head, while the memory paks actually use SRAM and thus have a battery.
The captured footage had some interlacing issues though, when you look at the HUD it stands out a bit more, but it is still visible around most edge. Not that massive, but slightly off putting.

I see, thanks for the correction. I Googled all of five minutes trying to figure out what they used and came up with nothing, but that will teach me to presume. As for the interlacing issues, it only seems apparent on the N64. It's weird as, and I can't figure out what's causing it.

SM64 will run at 240p/288p but depending on the TV/VCR/Whatever they may not support a 240p/288p signal and will convert it to a 480i/576i signal which is where the interlacing will come from.

Possibly, it's all running through a 10 year old Kmart TV after all.
