Well I thought I'd post the news about Yooka Laylee here since it will be coming to the Wii U as well as PS4 & XB1, but since its a spiritual successor to BanjoKazooie on the N64 it seems fitting to post about it in the Wii U section. Anyway, it smashed its Kick starter basic goal in just 15 minutes and reached its major goal in just 1 day, which is awesome and sad at the same time. Why sad, because it shows how badly people want more 3D platformers like Banjo yet Microsoft sit on IP's like Conker and Banjo but have done sweet F A with them. Market research obviously hasn't been done there. Nice one guys! Anyway, let's move on to how good the game looks in just 3 months! Amazing. Have a look for yourself. Just click the link here. I showed my daughter who loves Banjo on the N64 and she was just as excited as me. Just hearing that music made me have an eargasm! Anyone else excited by this news? |

Yeah I kept refreshing the kickstarter page yesterday and couldn't believe how quickly it was being funded.
I think they are really going to aim for nostalgic value, even listening to the sounds in the gameplay videos it takes me back to BK and DK on N64.

Yeah I kept refreshing the kickstarter page yesterday and couldn't believe how quickly it was being funded. I think they are really going to aim for nostalgic value, even listening to the sounds in the gameplay videos it takes me back to BK and DK on N64. Yeah, it has to be one of the fastest Kick starter funded games yet. Mighty no. 9 was pretty quick but man, this was ticking over like America's national debt! The music is pure DK & Banjo, no mistaking that sound. It looks amazing for only 3 months work. Its not getting released until October next year so I hope they make it a fairly decent sized gameworld. Time will tell. |

I just finished playing for about 40 minutes, really enjoyed it so far.
The class with the rollers seem way to overpowered though. You can turn into a squid, fly at someone with heaps of speed, then turn back into a human with the roller and get a kill.

I played during the 1pm-2pm session, I agree with the Roller. It was the first class I picked.
I also picked up the New Kirby game today. It is incredibly easy when you are playing 4 player co-op

I thought I'd share some 90's Arcade Racer info for you, looks awesome. Looks a hell of a lot like Daytona, enjoy.

Yeah, it was announced quite a long time ago. I love Daytona, I have it on the Saturn and Dreamcast but for some reason I just can't get exited for it.

So, after all the E3 ridiculousness, the dust has settled.
Out of all the games shown (which there were a fair few great looking games coming for all systems) I'm still the most hyped for ones I already knew about.
Devils Third looks even crazier with the new trailer shown, Xenoblade looks huge, Mario Makers limited edition is all sorts of awesomeness and Fatal Frame is an instabuy.
Starfox looks like Lylat Wars HD, which for me is a good thing, Platinum games are great at good looking action games it will be interesting to see how they handle this.
The 3DS is getting a heap of games, Federation Force looks like an interesting spin off, that's what it is, just like Hyrule Warriors. Get over it people!
MS showing of games didn't want me to own their system but the backwards comparability did. Not good when the games aren't the thing that makes me want to buy a system.
Sony has a heap of great content coming, but that's just it, coming. Please wait........

I they can emulate 360 on the XBone I'd love to see original Xbox backwards compat too, Hell I'd buy another XBone just for that.
